Having issues with your Onan Starter motor? Let us here at B&B rebuild it for you. The majority of the CCKA & CCKB Onan engines use a 10 tooth Starter motor in the Allis-Chalmers & Simplicity line of large frame Tractors. Since these 10 tooth Starters are not available new at this time, we do have the parts to rebuild your original 10 tooth unit. Onan claims their 9 tooth Starter motor will replace the 10 tooth. It may in other applications, but not in these particular applications. According to our customer's who purchased a 9 tooth off the internet to replace their 10 tooth Starter had nothing but problems! Our customer's claim the 9 tooth grinds, and does not align properly with the flywheel. Shimming needs to be done to get the 9 tooth version to engage and work half way properly. Now, where that Starter is located, you don't want to be pulling the engine up and down like a Yo Yo to get the correct engagement using shims! These Starters are buried under the engine, and are not easy to get to. In most cases, the engine needs to be lifted up from the Tractor to get to the Starter motor.  If you have the original 10 tooth Starter, don't cuss! Call us!  We'll rebuild it for you!
 
NOTE: For those customer's that have a 9 tooth Starter, we can change it over to a 10 tooth! It takes a little bit of machine work, and few bucks more for the machining and the drive gear, but we can do the deed. Call for more information.
